1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using IronMail ("the Service"), operated at ironmail.email, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including administrators, mailbox users, and visitors.
2. Description of Service
IronMail provides self-hosted corporate email hosting services, including:
- Email sending and receiving via IMAP/SMTP with a web dashboard.
- File storage (IronMail Drive) for uploading, organizing, and sharing files.
- Domain and mailbox management through an admin panel.
- Mobile app access (iOS and Android) with push notifications.
- DNS configuration tools for SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when setting up your domain and mailboxes.
- Administrators are responsible for managing users within their domain and ensuring compliance with these terms.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use IronMail to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or phishing emails.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful software.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
- Store or transmit illegal content through email or Drive.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or networks.
- Exceed your plan's daily send limits or storage quotas through automated means.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice.
5. Service Plans & Payment
- IronMail offers different service plans with varying mailbox limits, storage quotas, and daily send limits.
- Plan pricing is displayed on our website and may change with prior notice.
- Payment is required to maintain active service. Unpaid accounts may be suspended after a reasonable grace period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.
6. Mobile Application
- The IronMail mobile app is available for iOS and Android as a companion to the web dashboard.
- User accounts are provisioned by domain administrators — the app does not offer public registration or self-service signup.
- The app may use biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) for convenience. Biometric data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
- Your use of the mobile app is also subject to the terms of the platform from which you downloaded it (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
7. Data Ownership
- You own your data. All emails, attachments, Drive files, and account information belong to you.
- We do not access, read, or analyze your email content for advertising or any purpose other than providing the service (e.g., spam filtering, virus scanning).
- You may export your data at any time using the built-in import/export tools.
- Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
- Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
- We are not liable for temporary service interruptions due to server maintenance, network issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
IronMail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
10. Account Suspension & Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- You may cancel your account at any time by contacting your administrator or reaching out to us.
- Upon termination, we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before permanent deletion.
11. Intellectual Property
The IronMail name, logo, and branding are our property. You may not use our branding without written permission. The Service's software, design, and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
